AGORA POLICY HOSTS HIGH-LEVEL DIALOGUE ON LOCAL GOVERNANCE REFORMS
Agora Policy, a policy think tank, organised a high-level policy dialogue on local governance reforms. Held at the Shehu Musa Yaradua Centre in Abuja on Tuesday, the event was themed ‘Local Governance Reforms a Year After Supreme Court’s Ruling ‘. Supported by the MacArthur Foundation, the dialogue was organised in collaboration with the African Cities Research Consortium (ACRC), The Cable and the Centre for Fiscal Transparency and Public Integrity (CFTPI)



The keynote address was delivered by Wale Edun the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of Economy. Other notable speakers include Diana Mitlin (ACRC), Deborah Isser (World Bank) and Cynthia Rowe (British High Commission).
Other speakers include Remi Aiyede, professor of political science at the University of Ibadan, Ojobo Atiluku, Chair of Agora Policy; Lawal Yandaki, National President of The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Kole Shettima of MacArthur Foundation and Akintunde Oyebode, Chair of the Forum of Finance Commissioners and Ekiti Commissioner of Finance and Other notable speakers .
