2027: Lagos APC Declares Total Support for Tinubu’s Second Term at Stakeholders’ Forum
Lagos APC leaders, royal fathers, and former governors unite to endorse President Bola Tinubu for a second term, pledging grassroots mobilization and a ₦26m reward scheme ahead of 2027.

In a resounding show of unity and loyalty, leaders and stakeholders of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have declared total support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was made at the Lagos APC Stakeholders’ Forum 2025, held on Tuesday at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The high-profile gathering brought together political heavyweights, royal fathers, and party loyalists, reaffirming their unwavering support for President Tinubu and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

Among the dignitaries present were Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, former Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola (SAN), former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, and Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) Prince Tajudeen Olusi.

Also in attendance were Senator Tokunbo Abiru, Hon. Dolapo Badru, APC National Secretary Dr. Ajibola Basiru (representing National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda), State APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, members of the State Assembly, serving and former local government and LCDA chairmen, councillors, journalists, and several royal fathers who lent their blessings to the gathering

Governor Sanwo-Olu led the call for Tinubu’s re-election, commending the president’s “transformational leadership” and economic reforms within his first two years in office.
“President Tinubu has surpassed expectations in a short time,” Sanwo-Olu declared. “His reforms have laid a strong foundation for sustainable growth. Lagos APC proudly stands behind him for 2027.”

Former Governor Babatunde Fashola (SAN) called for a robust reward system to sustain party loyalty and active participation, lamenting voter apathy across the country.
“We must recognize those who work for the party. Lagos once led in voter turnout — we must restore that spirit,” he urged.
Prince Tajudeen Olusi emphasized the need for elected officials to reconnect with their constituents.
“Some of our officers have grown distant. We must re-engage our people to strengthen our foundation,” he said.
Former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode also echoed unity and discipline as key factors in sustaining APC’s dominance, urging young members to be more involved in grassroots mobilization.

State APC Chairman Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi praised members’ loyalty and dedication, unveiling a reward package to motivate voter registration and PVC collection.
He announced ₦20 million for the best-performing local government, ₦5 million for the best-performing political ward, and ₦1 million for the third-best performing local government.
“The journey to 2027 begins now. Let’s mobilize and ensure every eligible voter registers and collects their PVC,” Ojelabi declared.

He further revealed that aspirants who lost in the recent council elections would be refunded once chairmen conclude their aide appointments.
“Those not appointed will have their nomination fees refunded,” he assured.

The Minister of State for Education, Dr. Moruf Olatunji Alausa, gave an inspiring report on the administration’s achievements in education, particularly in empowering the girl-child and rehabilitating Almajiri children.
“We have made tremendous progress in ensuring the girl-child has access to education, mentorship, and opportunity,” Alausa said.
He revealed that the ministry had taken thousands of Almajiri children off the streets and integrated them into formal learning environments.
“Education remains at the heart of the Renewed Hope Agenda, and we are committed to leaving no child behind,” he added.

Representing the APC National Chairman, Dr. Ajibola Basiru commended Lagos APC for its unity and proactive leadership.
“Defections from other parties only show alignment with performance, not the death of democracy,” he stated.
He urged the Lagos chapter to sustain its leadership role nationwide through youth mobilization and issue-based engagement.
The forum also served as a feedback and accountability platform, where lawmakers, ministers, and appointees presented scorecards while traditional rulers prayed for continued peace and success under the Tinubu administration.
The Stakeholders’ Forum ended on a high note, with renewed commitment to unity, performance, and progress. The message from Lagos was unmistakable — the state remains the stronghold of the APC, and its leaders are fully united behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid in 2027.
