The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda is not only transforming Nigeria’s development story but also aligning seamlessly with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
According to the party, what the world calls “global aspirations”, President Tinubu is turning into homegrown realities through bold reforms and people-focused policies.
In a statement signed by the Lagos APC Spokesman, Mogaji (Hon.) Seye Oladejo, the party said the administration’s programmes clearly reflect the core SDG principle — to leave no one behind.
Under SDG 1 – No Poverty, the party highlighted the Renewed Hope Conditional Grant Scheme, the student loan programme, and other targeted social interventions that help families overcome hardship. “These are not handouts,” the statement noted, “but building blocks for self-reliance.”
For SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, the statement pointed to the government’s efforts in reviving industries, creating jobs, and attracting investment. From tech hubs to manufacturing zones, the APC said Nigeria is witnessing renewed global confidence under Tinubu’s leadership.
The Renewed Hope Infrastructure Drive, which includes the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, modern rail lines, and expanded port projects, was described as a practical expression of SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure — connecting communities, powering trade, and enhancing productivity nationwide.
On SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 7 – Affordable and Clean Energy, the party commended the President’s focus on technical and vocational education, alongside investments in renewable energy. “These policies are shaping the workforce of the future while lighting up homes and industries,” the statement read.
Oladejo noted that what previous governments treated as mere slogans, President Tinubu has turned into measurable progress. “His development philosophy is deliberate, structured, and visionary — proof that Nigeria can meet global standards while protecting national interests,” he said.
The Lagos APC urged Nigerians to stay patient and supportive, describing sustainable development as a journey that requires courage, consistency, and conviction — qualities they said the President has demonstrated in abundance.
“Those who still fail to see the wisdom in these reforms are either blinded by politics or stuck in the comfort of old failures,” Oladejo said. “The truth is that Nigeria is finally on the path of genuine, sustainable progress — a path where growth is inclusive, opportunities are real, and the future is bright.”
