🚧 Lagos Begins Night Repair Works on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road — Motorists Advised to Use Alternative Routes
The Lagos State Government has announced that it will commence repair works on the busy Ozumba Mbadiwe Road, Victoria Island, starting Monday, September 15, 2025, through Sunday, September 21, 2025.
According to the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the repairs will cover the stretch of the road from Bonny Camp Junction and will be carried out nightly between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM to minimize disruption to traffic flow.
Osiyemi urged motorists and commuters to be patient, cooperate with traffic officials, and consider using alternative routes during the repair period.
“This is being done in the interest of the public. We appeal for understanding from residents, road users, and stakeholders,” he said.
The commissioner emphasized that the state government is committed to improving road infrastructure and ensuring smooth vehicular movement across the city.
